ABSTRACT
The special goals of this research are: 1. To improve learning process competency and achievement tes results of pupils of yunior school (SMP) through an effective learning model with using alearning media of natural phenomena. 2. To optimize utilization of equipments in the stasiun Badan Meteorologi dan Geofisika Sulawesi Utara ( Meteorology and Geophysics Beareu North Sulawesi), BMG which are relevant to physics learning in SMP with an alternative collaborative learning model in order to cope a lacking of laboratory facility problem that restrict an effective physics learning process in the school. 3. to obtain an attractive school physics learning material based on contextual with using equipments in BMG which is believed enable to increase a physics learning process and also achievement test physics results of pupils in SMP. The method using in this research are explained as the following stages: 1. To utilize survey method at Manado BMG station and SMP N 4 and SMP N 8 in Manado city. 2. To make physics learning model based on contextual learning that emphasize on realistic learning. 3. To implement physics learning model in the school, 4. To evaluate the implementation of physics lerning in the school, 5. To rivise a learning process which relating to physics learning model that have been design, 6. To recommend for using a physics learning model. This research are carried out in: (a) BMG Manado Nort Sulawesi in where pupils to learn physics principle of operation equipments and procedure of measurement and data analyzing, (b). SMP N 4 and SMP N 8 Manado in where to learn a school curriculum and facility that supporting a learning process in the school. The results show that the implementation of physics learning process in SMP is encouraged based on natural phenomena concept that are observed and sensed by pupils through their activities in a daily life as observed and reported by BMG. The achievement test results of pupils in the SMP N 4 and SMP N 8 Manado show a good results of mastery learning > 80%. For science (physics) teacher who is teaching in the school of lacking laboratory facility strongly recommended for using a study visit to BMG station.

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI EMBELAJARAN THINK-PAIR- SHARE (TPS) MELALUI SIMULASI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA FISIKA

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study to examine the effect of learning strategy use Think-Pair-Share (TPS) through the animation / simulation on student learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes data obtained by using the strategy Think Pair Share learning through animation / simulation in the learning of science physics of light materials, and know the level of mastery learning students. The population was 8 Galway Junior High School students of the eighth grade, the sample in this study are students of class VIII-5 with a number of experimental classes and 41 students of grade VIII-1 control class. Type of research is experimental research. From the results of treatment of junior high school student was learning the application of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) has an influence on student learning outcomes the average value of 29.05 pretest and post test 81.41 in the experimental class With the difference between pre test and post test was 52.36 or if analyzed the difference between the KKM and post-test value is 14, meaning that students progress of 52.36% and 14% above the value of KKM. Statistical analysis using t test, with a significant level of 5% is obtained, the t 2.81 and t table = 2.14. means the larger the t t table so it can inferred hypothesis H0 rejected and H1 accepted This shows there is a positive influence in the use of learning strategy Think-Pair-Share (TPS) through the animation/simulation of light materials in SMP Negeri 8 Manado. Learning Outcomes Students who use the learning strategy Think-Pair-Share (TPS) through the animation / simulation of light materials still higher than the conventional model. With reference to the KKM’s value junior high school students who use learning strategies Think Pair Share (TPS) through animations/Simulation achieve exhaustiveness was obtained average value of 81.41 means that KKM’s value has exceeded a predetermined value of> 67.

ABSTRAK
This research has purpose to increases the avtivity and students achievement in Sistem Persamaan Lienear using problem solving approach. The research design is pre test – post test experiment for 8th Class on SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. The technique that used to collect the data are observation, pre test – post test and than statistical analyze using t-test. The research are problem based learning in Sitem Persamaan Linear 1) to increase the activity students in learning process 2) to increase the result study 3) having positive responses from the students because the learing sence being better.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan melatih keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan suatu masalah matematika khususnya pembelajaran Pemfaktoran Bentuk Aljabar. Aspek yang diukur adalah kemampuan siswa menguasai materi Pemfaktoran Bentuk aljabar. Kriteria dan ukuran keberhasilan tindakan kelas mengacu pada ketentuan kurikulum 2006, yaitu apabila siswa telah mencapai skor minimum 75 dan secara kelompok 75% telah mencapai skor minimum 75. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis presentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan open ended melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD dapat memberikan hasil yang memuaskan yakni sebesar 80% kelompok mendapat nilai minimum 75. Jadi penggunaan Pendekatan Open Ended untuk materi Pemfaktoran Bentuk Aljabar dapat memberikan ketuntasan belajar secara kelompok.

ABSTRACT
This research is conducted to know competence of the teacher who get profesional teacher through portofolio or PLPG. Descriptive method was used in this research. Subject of this study is the Biology Teacher in SMP at District of Tombatu. Seven teacher as a respondent. Thirty question item was use to describe the pedagogik competence of the biology teacher. The question item has analysis using product moment corelation to know the validity. The results of the study is the biology teacher had pedagogic competence but not have signifincae diference between teacher that pass the sertification through portofolio and PLPG.

ABSTRACT
The objective of this Research is 1. To increase process and result of learning Calculus I at student of Education Biology Program of FMIPA UNIMA 2. To develop the process of lecturing of Calculus I which capable to improve the achievement learn of student of Education Biology Program 3. To increase achievement learn of student of Educational Biology program of FMIPA UNIMA at subject Calculus I. 4. To get a design of instructional model of Calculus I in FMIPA especially first year lecturing which can be developed by lecturer. Method used in this research is class room action research (CAR) with the activity procedure as the following : Preparation, Execution, Observation and Reflection. Preparation include the compilation of instructional or lecturing program of Calculus I. The execution of instructional activity is according to scenario compiled in lesson plan. Observation to look at the execution process of learn activity. Reflection conducted to improve the instructional process which assessed less succeed. So that to find the way of most precise. Research place is FMIPA UNIMA especially Biological Educational program of generation 2007/8, amounting to 58 students. Result of research show that applying of problem solving approach in lecturing of Calculus I especially limit and derivative of student at Biology Department for Biological Education Program of FMIPA UNIMA can improve the result learn of the student. Result obtained show that student obtaining minimum value 2,00 reaching 88% at final tes for amount 58 student. Pursuant to improvement result learn of the student with problem solving approach at lecturing of Calculus I, hence problem solving approach looked good become one alternative choice in lecturing of Calculus I. Suggestion for the lecture, that problem solving approach in lecturing of Calculus I can be used at lecturing science and mathematic by paying attention to amount and available instructional equipment. Importance to conduct development research of problem solving approach by coupling with some other instructional approach which can improve result of student lecturing especially group of science and mathematic more special Caculus I.

ABSTRAK
Suatu penelitian telah dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui daya tetas telur burung Eulipoa wallacei berdasarkan letak telur dan untuk mengetahui persentase daya tetas telur dari tiap perlakuan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 50 butir telur burung ini yang dibagi dalam 5 perlakuan letak telur, yaitu 0 derajat (horizontal), 45 derajat (diagonal), -45 derajat (diagonal terbalik), 90 derajat (vertikal) dan -90 derajat (vertical terbalik), dimana tiap perlakuan dilakukan ulangan sebanyak 10 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian perlakuan posisi letak telur dengan kemiringan telur yang berbeda-beda pada burung Eulipoa wallacei tidak memberi pengaruh terhadap keberhasilan (daya) tetas telur. Persentase daya tetas telur yang paling tinggi dari setiap perlakuan adalah pada posisi diagonal 45 derajat dan posisi diagonal terbalik (-45 derajat).

The research design by doing class room action research for semester I on the study year 2008/2009 with 40 students. The technique that used to collect the data are observation, quesioneres and than analyze with desriptive method. The research are problem based learning with cooperative approach 1) to increase the activity students in learning process 2) to increase the result study in accounting theory 3) having positive responses from the students because the learing sence being better.

MELALUI PEMBUATAN UNIT PADA PASCAL

ABSTRAK
Unit merupakan suatu modul program yang terpisah dan digunakan untuk mengerjakan proses-proses tertentu, biasanya dibuat untuk program yang cukup besar dan rumit serta dapat digunakan berulang-ulang. Secara umum, unit terbagi atas empat bagian, yaitu bagian kepala, antarmuka, tetapan dan awalan. Program Pascal telah dilengkapi dengan beberapa unit bawaan (Standard Units), namun dalam pengolahan operasi dua matrix, penggunaan unit bawaan tersebut belum dapat menyederhanakan program secara signifikan. Untuk menyederhanakan program, mereduksi kesalahan, dan meningkatkan ketepatgunaan pembuatan program matrix, dibuat unit matrix, meliputi operasi dasar matrix yang dipilah dalam beberapa prosedur dan diharapkan akan mempermudah dalam penulisan program yang berkaitan dengan beberapa operasi yang berhubungan dengan satu dan dua buah matrix, seperti transpose matrix, penjumlahan matrix, pengurangan matrix, perkalian mariks dengan skalar dan perkalian dua matrix. Unit yang dibuat diberi nama UNIT MATRIX, dan disimpan dengan perluasan PAS.
